BBRC (passerines)

Records for species are in order of date, then in alphabetical order of county, locality.

After the scientific name and author of the species there are in parenthesis two numbers, the first figure denoting the number of records up to 31st December 1949, with the second figure for those recorded from 1950 to date, in compliance with Europe. The records prior to 1950 can be found in detail elsewhere.

All records are referenced in parenthesis. Where WIP is used for referencing it is because the record is taken from the BBRCs Work in Progress file to keep this web site as up to date as possible.

The four seasons are classed: Winter (Dec. - Feb.), Spring (Mar. - May), Summer (Jun. - Aug.) and Autumn (Sep. - Nov.).

Taxonomic order follows F. Gill, D. Donsker & P. Rasmussen (Eds.) (2024) IOC World Bird List (v. 14.1), displaying the Family followed by indented species. Species with trinomials are accepted BOURC sub-species.
