STATUS

North America. Monotypic.

OVERVIEW

The second Western Palearctic record, the first was of a bird found dead in Iceland in autumn 1967. It is the second species of Empidonax to arrive in Britain, the Alder Flycatcher E. alnorum having been seen in 2008 (Cornwall) and 2010 (Norfolk).
