STATUS
North America. Monotypic.
OVERVIEW
This first record for the Western Palearctic and Britain occurred on Shetland where it was photographed and identified during the autumn of 2025.
A deep-based bill with a pale basal colour; extensive yellow underparts; and broad and well defined edges to the tertials help to separate from other similar New World flycatchers.
