STATUS

Inland central Asia and Tibetan Plateau. Polytypic (including pamirensis and schaeferi).

OVERVIEW

The IOC (v. 13.2) split Lessser Sand Plover (2023) into two species: Tibetan Sand Plover and Mongolian Sand Plover.
