STATUS

Europe and north-west Africa. Polytypic.

OVERVIEW

The majority of records are of spring arrivals that date from 13th May to 9th June. Two other records occurred 1st August and 21st September respectively. All were males apart from three individuals that were not sexed.

The 1985 Essex Foulness record has (14 Nov 2022) been withdrawn by the observer and will be published as such in 2023 BBRC report.
